The Communication & Public Information Department handles internal and external communications for the City of Lenoir. The department is responsible for promoting city services and events and managing the city’s digital presence. The department also serves as primary point of contact for questions about city programs and services.

CodeRED & Notify Me

The City uses CodeRED and Notify Me to send emergency alerts and other information to residents and the public.


Staff uses CodeRED to send emergency alerts and health and safety notifications to residents and customers. CodeRED can reach thousands of individuals in minutes via telephone, text message, email, and more. To receive these alerts, residents must sign up, and they muse live within the Lenoir City Limits.

Notify Me

Notify Me alerts inform subscribers about information and updates posted to the City website such as upcoming events, news, youth sports, and more. Anyone can sign up to receive Notify Me alerts.
