Bicycle Plan
Promoting and encouraging multimodal travel has become a major priority for the City of Lenoir and for communities across the region, the state, and the country. The development of the Lenoir Bicycle Plan was spearheaded by a project team consisting of planners, engineers, and City staff.

The heart of the Plan is a series of recommended growth management strategies in the areas of land use and growth management, transportation, public services, economic development, natural and environmental resources, and historic and cultural resources.

Lenoir Architectural Survey
View survey files were prepared on over 350 resources, representing a diverse collection of nineteenth- and twentieth-century building styles and forms in Lenoir.

North Main Small Area Plan
The North Main Small Area Plan was developed to enhance opportunities for active transportation and recreation both through streets cape improvements and increased connectivity to Lenoir's Greenway and J.E. Broyhill Park.

Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail
The Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail (OVNHT) is a 330-mile, Congressionally-designated historic trail that spans four states - Virginia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina - and runs through Lenoir. The trail commemorates the route that the American Patriot militia marched over the Appalachian Mountains to defeat the British-led loyalist army at the Battle of Kings Mountain on October 8, 1790.

Parks & Recreation Master Plan
The City of Lenoir Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Master Plan, 2010-2030 provides the framework for long-range planning for the City Parks and Recreation Department.

Pedestrian Plan
The City of Lenoir is committed to providing its citizens with a safe community in which to live, work, and play. Part of this commitment includes the future improvement and/or construction of pedestrian-friendly transportation corridors throughout the City.
