About the Board

The City of Lenoir Board of Alcoholic Control was created per City Charter. The Board oversees the operation of the City’s two ABC Stores. The board has all the powers and duties imposed by General Statutes 18 A-17 on county boards of alcoholic control and shall be subject to the powers and authority of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission. The City of Lenoir Board of Alcoholic Control authorizes the establishment and operation of ABC stores within the City of Lenoir. Click here to view the City Code that created the board.

Meetings

The Board of Alcoholic Control meets once a month at ABC Store 1. The Board generally meets at 2:00 p.m. on the second or third Tuesday or Thursday of the month at ABC Store 1, 115 ABC Court NE, Lenoir, NC 28645. Meetings are open to the public.

Members

The Board of Alcoholic Control Board consists of three members appointed by the Mayor and Council. Members serve three-year terms. Terms run from July 1 to June 30.
