A professional contractor recently finished trimming dozens of trees in Downtown Lenoir.
"Over the past couple of years, we’ve had some concerns with streetscape trees limiting signal visibility at intersections," Public Works Director Jared Wright said. "By hiring a professional tree trimming contractor, we were able to perform much-needed pruning on the trees lining the streets, as well as in the public parking lots, much more quickly than trying to self-perform this amount of work.”
The City hired Brad's Tree Service to trim and prune about 70 trees located on the square in downtown; along Main Street, West Avenue, and Harper Avenue; and in four of the City's municipal parking lots. Brad's finished up last week.
"We are extremely pleased with the pruning work provided by Brad’s Tree Service," Wright said. "With the number of trees, traffic control, and overall density of our downtown area, this could have been a difficult project. Brad’s Tree Service completed the work quickly with minimal impacts to downtown traffic and businesses."
