City staff will close a section of North Main Street this evening to perform utility work.
Staff will close North Main Street from Ashe Avenue to West Avenue around 6:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Public Utilities Department workers are installing a new sewer tap for a property owner. The work will take a few hours.
Drivers traveling on West Avenue can detour via Mulberry Street and Ashe Avenue. Drivers traveling south on North Main Street can detour via Ashe Avenue to Church Street to Harper Avenue and then to Main Street. Drivers heading north on Main Street can detour onto West Avenue to Boundary Street to Ashe Avenue and back onto North Main Street.
North Main Street will be closed from Ashe Avenue to West Avenue this evening for utility work. The street will be closed around 6:00 p.m. until the work is complete.
