The N.C. Forest Service lifted the burn ban affecting Caldwell County and the region effective at noon Monday, Dec. 13. The City of Lenoir also lifted the local burn ban at the same time.
"Following the Forest Service’s recommendations, we are also rescinding the City of Lenoir’s open burning ban," Fire Chief Ken Hair said. "We will go back to normal operations in accordance with the City of Lenoir’s Code of Ordinances on open burning."
