The City of Lenoir is hosting a movie night on the square this evening, and Juneteenth events start tomorrow at The Campus at the Historic Lenoir High School.
Summer Madness Series
The Downtown Lenoir Summer Madness Series continues Friday night, June 17, 2022, with a free showing of Encanto. Bring a comfy chair and blanket to the square and watch Encanto with your friends and neighbors! The movie starts at 8:30 pm. Junteenth Events
Juneteenth Celebration 2022: The Freedman Cultural Center and Caldwell County NAACP will present the Juneteenth Celebration 2022 Saturday, June 18, at The Campus at the Historic Lenoir High School. There will be singing, dancing, drama, fashion, and reflection. The event theme is "Break Every Chain" Let's Work Together. Doors open at 1:30 pm and the program starts at 2:00 pm. The Campus is located at 1114 College Ave. Parking is available on College Avenue and in the parking lot across the street.
Juneteenth Freedom Day Parade and Family Fun Day: The Juneteenth Freedom Day Parade and Family Fun Day will be Monday, June 20. The parade will start at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center and go to the St. Paul AME Church. The City of Lenoir Martin Luther King Jr. Center is located at 313 Greenhaven Dr.
