Santa Claus is bringing lots of toys to give away tonight at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Lenoir. The doors open at 4:30, and the first 100 children ages 4 to 12, will get a free toy.
Martin Luther King Jr. Center Director Lester Whittington said that Toni Carlton will sing Christmas songs, and the children will get to visit Santa and pick a free toy based on their age.
Toys include games, dolls, basketballs, footballs, remote control cars, diecast cars and monster trucks, tablet DVD players, a skateboard, and scooters. There are also five bikes for the 4 to 8 year olds, and five bikes for the 9 to 12 year olds, which will be given away via a drawing.
"Thank you to everyone who donated toys," Director Whittington said. "We appreciate your generosity, and I know the children will, too."
