Lenoir Makos Swim Club
Registration for the Lenoir Makos Swim club is open through Friday, May 19, 2023.
The Swim Club is a chance for children to improve their swimming skills and compete in swim meets. George Christas is the swim club coach. The club is open to children six to 18 years old. Swimmers must turn six on or before June 1.
Swim Club costs $60.00 per child. There are multi-child payment plans available.
Parents can pick up and turn in registration forms at the Lenoir Aquatic & Fitness Center (LAFC). LAFC is open from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on Fridays, and various times on Saturdays. The center is located at 1031 Jim Barger Drive NE. JH Jones Cheer Camp
Registration for the JH Jones Cheer Camp is open through Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Coach Waliyah Perkins and the Hickory High School Cheerleaders will host Cheer Camp. The camp is open to children six to 13 years old. Cheer Camp will be at the at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center Saturday, May 20, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Cheer Camp costs $15.00 per child. Staff will provide snacks and lunch to the campers.
Parents can register their children for Cheer Camp at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. The MLK Jr. Center is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Friday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. The Center is located at 313 Greenhaven Drive NW.

JH Jones Summer Basketball League
Registration for the JH Jones Summer Basketball League is open through Thursday, May 25, 2023.
The Summer Basketball League is a great way to keep kids active and give them a chance to play team sports while school is out. The league is open to children ages eight to 13. Participants must turn eight years old on or before May 25, and cannot turn 14 years old before May 25.
The summer basketball league costs $10.00 for city residents and $15.00 for non-city residents.
Parents can register their children for summer basketball at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. The MLK Jr. Center is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Friday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. The Center is located at 313 Greenhaven Drive NW.

The Camp
Registration for the 29th Annual MLK/ATC Basketball Camp is open through June 29, 2023.
The Camp will be June 28, 29, and 30, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Participants will have three days to learn and improve their basketball skills and learn the fundamentals of the game. The Camp is open to children ages seven to 13.
The cost is $5.00 for city residents and $10.00 for non-city residents. Staff will provide a light lunch to the players. Parents must drop off campers on time and pick them up after the daily sessions are over.
Parents can register their children for Cheer Camp at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. The MLK Jr. Center is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Friday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. The Center is located at 313 Greenhaven Drive NW.
