Contractors will close a few lanes of traffic at the intersection of Harper Avenue and Morganton Boulevard starting around 6:00 pm Tuesday night, May 30, 2023. Drivers should be cautious and alert while driving through the area.
Direction signs and flaggers will be on site to help direct traffic. Drivers may want to bypass the intersection to avoid possible delays.
Workers are going to remove old sewer manholes in the intersection and patch the road. The sewer lines were abandoned and filled as part of a sewer line upgrade project.
Workers should complete the job and have all lanes open by Wednesday morning, barring any unforeseen problems.
