The boil water advisory for southwest portions of Lenoir and Caldwell County has been lifted as of 7:45 am this morning, Sunday, June 25, 2023. Affected customers can can resume normal water use. It is no longer necessary to boil water before ingesting.
City of Lenoir Public Utilities staff repaired all leaks and pressure challenges in the distribution system. Staff tested the water this morning, and no bacteria was detected.
"Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the last 25 hours," Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Kevin Matheson said. "Your safety is and always will be our top priority."
