The 49th Harambee Arts Festival will be Saturday Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Come enjoy a different activity each day of the festival! All events are free.
Harambee kicks off at 11:00 am Saturday, Aug. 5, with a Family Fun Day. There will be games, face painting, trampoline, rock climbing, horse rides, food, vendors, and a book bag giveaway. The Family Fun Day ends at 4:00 pm.
On Sunday, Aug. 6, there will be a Gospel Singing starting at 4:00 pm. The NuFaithfulAires, The Dixon Sisters, 4ever Faithful, and LaDawnna Bradshaw will perform during the free concert.
The J.H. Jones All-Star Basketball Games will be Monday, Aug. 7, and the Senior Citizens Banquet will be Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 6:00 pm. Game Night will be Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 6:00 pm. The games will include Spades, Bid Whist, and Bingo. There will be a Recognition Banquet Thursday night
