Downtown Master Plan Community Engagement Meeting

The City of Lenoir is hosting several Community Engagement Meetings to get input and feedback from local residents about the City's Downtown Master Plan.
The Downtown Master Plan will establish goals for redevelopment and improvements in Downtown Lenoir during the next 10 years. The Plan will likely recommend changes and additions to public infrastructure in Downtown such as sidewalks, common areas, lighting, and street patterns.
City staff are working with DLR Group to create the Plan. DLR Group staff will ask questions and gather community input during the meeting. Residents will be able to talk about what activates and opportunities they would like to see in Downtown Lenoir.
Community Engagement Meeting Dates
Friday, March 3, 2023, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Harper Room, 1016 Harper Ave- Saturday, March 4, 2023, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 313 Greenhaven Dr NW
- Saturday, March 4, 2023, 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Mulberry Recreation Center, 720 Mulberry St SW
- Friday, April 28, 2023, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Harper Room, 1016 Harper Ave
The Downtown Plan will also include recommendations for improvements to The Campus at the Historic Lenoir High School (LHS). The Campus includes the LHS Auditorium, Gymnasium, Band Building, Trades/Masonry Building, and Mack Cook Stadium.
